Arts Picks: Akshita Nanda recommends Leonard Bernstein’s Mass by Orchestra of the Music Makers and Storyfest performances

ASIA PACIFIC BREWERIES FOUNDATION SIGNATURE ART PRIZE

This exhibition showcases the 15 artists from Asia Pacific whose works are shortlisted for the triennial Signature Art Prize. It awards $60,000 to the best work.

LEONARD BERNSTEIN'S MASS

Expect mega-church vibes and glorious melodies as the Orchestra of the Music Makers (OMM) presents American composer Leonard Bernstein's "reverent, irreverent" Mass for street singers, chorus and celebrant. The concert is directed by noted theatre-maker Edith Podesta. Joshua Kangming Tan conducts.

Storyfest: International Storytelling Festival Singapore

Experience ancient storytelling traditions and contemporary performances in this festival presented by The Storytelling Centre Limited and The Arts House.

Scottish storyteller Mara Menzies performs traditional tales from Kenya and Scotland, while The Telling Theatre (above) from Denmark does the Nordic tale of monster-slayer Beowulf.
