A WONDERLAND OF TOYS

This toy-themed programme for children by arts company Act 3 International combines musical theatre with visual arts - with three workshops teaching them skills such as costume-making and performing.

The 21/2-hour sessions end with a song-and-dance item by the participants. For children aged four to eight.

The orchestra uses instruments faithful to the time in which the music was composed, such as period instruments with strings made of guts.

DRAMATISED READINGS BY THEATREWORKS WRITERS' LAB

Help to shape new writing in these readings of new plays by writers Isaac Lim, Tan Mae Shen and Beverly Wee. Each session is about 90 minutes long, with a 20-minute post-show discussion. They are participants of a series of annual playwriting workshops in 2015 led by Tony Perez, titled Writing From The Heart and organised by theatre company TheatreWorks. The dramatised readings are directed by Tan Shou Chen and performed by actors such as Julie Wee, Gerald Chew and Edward Choy.

SINGAPORE POETRY ON THE BUS

Board bus service 67 with fellow poetry aficionados and be treated to site-specific poetry readings on the bus as it plies its route from Tampines Bus Interchange to Choa Chu Kang Bus Interchange.

The readings are led by Singapore Literature Prize winner Joshua Ip and organised by literary non-profit organisation Sing Lit Station.
