GARDEN • UPROOTED
In this music and dance-theatre performance led by conductor Lim Yau and choreographer Angela Liong, both Cultural Medallion recipients, the idea of the garden as a sanctuary comes into contrast with the upheaval of modern-day diaspora. Set to nature-inspired music by Japanese composer Toru Takemitsu, the performance features an inter-generational cast, from senior citizens and students to professional dancers from Arts Fission and musicians from The Philharmonic Orchestra.
