MATTHEW BOURNE'S SLEEPING BEAUTY

Award-winning choreographer Matthew Bourne gives this classic fairy tale an edge, with gritty fairies, a vampire prince and a rebellious Princess Aurora (Ashley Shaw, above, with Adam Maskell as dark fairy Caradoc). The family-friendly production spans 100 years, with sets and costumes depicting the Victorian era to the modern day.

SINGAPASAR

This design-centric pasar malam organised by local store The Farm Store has 35 vendors selling locally inspired or made-in-Singapore items and food. Vendors include The Fingersmith Letterpress which specialises in illustrations and hand-letter prints inspired by Singapore life and objects as well as ang ku kueh by 28-year-old family-run business, Ji Xiang Confectionery.

HOUSE PARTY

This quirky spoken word show by performance artists (from left) Marylyn Tan, Shivram Gopinath and Marc Nair blends poetry, theatre and comedy.

While waiting for their guests, the hosts will while away the time by playing party games, reading from bad sex novels and reminiscing about old love affairs. SHE AIN'T HEAVY, SHE'S REACHING INTO SPACE

Watch dancers Faye Lim and Eng Kai Er "perform" a discussion and talk about performance in this hour-long show. Dressed in zany costumes, the pair will blur the line between performance and spontaneity while supporting and battling each other. The work uses techniques of contact improv, a dance technique which uses physical touch as a starting point.
