Independent arts space Deck today opens what is believed to be South-east Asia's first public library dedicated to photography.
Browse through more than 1,000 photobooks donated by German publisher Gerhard Steidl. His imprint publishes the works of big names such as Robert Adams and Edward Burtynsky.

SCO 20TH ANNIVERSARY GALA CONCERT: JOSHUA BELL AND SCO
For its 20th anniversary, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, led by Yeh Tsung, partners acclaimed American violinist Joshua Bell (above). Bell is playing with a Chinese orchestra for the first time and will take on works from Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi's La Primavera to Chinese composer Mao Yuan's A Joyous New Year.
