MIXED

Mixed, written by playwright Raemae Kok, tells the story of Anika Lee, a girl of mixed Chinese and Indian parentage.

The cast includes actors Gabriele Goh Koon Hui and Grace Kalaiselvi, who play Anika's parents.

The 40-minute show will be staged at three venues in the south-east district - starting at Marine Parade Community Club, then moving on to the Eurasian Community House and Mountbatten Community Club next month.

CHEONG SOO PIENG 100TH ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITION

The late Singapore artist Cheong Soo Pieng was widely regarded as a pioneer of the Nanyang art style and was recognised for his techniques, which showcased both Eastern and Western art traditions.

This exhibition features 20 artworks in different media, spanning four decades of the artist's career.

#BUYSINGLIT

Show your support for Singapore literature this weekend as more than 40 literary-themed activities take place around the island.

They include book fairs, storytelling sessions, workshops and book treasure hunts. Author Jumaini Ariff (photo) will conduct a storytelling workshop as part of this #BuySingLit campaign.

The industry-led effort involves more than 30 partners, including bookstores and publishers, working across all four official languages.

INDICES OF VANISHMENT

Theatre performer and director Edith Podesta is collaborating with contemporary dance company Raw Moves for the first time on Indices Of Vanishment.

The hour-long dance is a study of the emotional deterioration of an old couple and the rejuvenation of their relationship.
