Solo: A Star Wars is the latest film to prove that amazing computer-generated imagery should add to the story and not be the main highlight instead

So the latest instalment of the Star Wars franchise is officially a box-office flop.

Solo: A Star Wars Story earned a measly US$148 million (S$197.5 million) over its first two weekends in the American box office. Add in global box-office takings of US$115 million and it has barely recouped the estimated US$250-million production cost.
