TAIPEI - Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, who gave birth in Taipei to a daughter on Thursday by Caesarean section, has described her baby as a "beautiful, long-legged little miss" in a media statement.

Hsu, 37, who is married to Chinese businessman husband Wang Xiaofei, posted a picture of the family on Weibo today.

She announced the birth yesterday by posting a picture of the baby's footprints, saying: "My daughter is safe. Limitless gratitude."
