SINGAPORE – The Covid-19 pandemic lockdown in Ho Chi Minh City made Ms Jovel Chan, 31, an unlikely expert in Vietnamese cuisine.

Ms Chan left for Vietnam in December 2020 intending to start an indoor cycling studio there with a Marketing Readiness Assistance grant from Enterprise Singapore, which helps Singapore companies venture into foreign markets.
