I look around Bangkok’s Wat Arun or Temple of Dawn. I notice several women clad in bright traditional Thai costumes, available for rent at a stall outside, striking a pose against the colourful mosaic tiles. I wonder if anyone is expecting to see people in Qing Dynasty robes.
