SINGAPORE – The SPH Media Travel Fair, held for the first time on May 2 and 3, will feature special deals, expert-led talks and daily giveaways.
It will run from 11am to 7pm at the SPH Media Auditorium on both days.
Six tour agencies – ASA Holidays, Chan Brothers Travel, CTC Travel, Hong Thai Travel, Nam Ho Travel and Super Travels – will offer on-site travel promotions. Admission is free.
Visitors can expect discounts on travel packages to destinations such as China, South Korea and Taiwan, as well as one-for-one deals on selected tours.
Attendees can sit in on travel talks covering trending destinations and itinerary-planning tips. Speakers include representatives from participating tour agencies as well as The Straits Times travel editor Clara Lock and Ms Woo Mun Ngan, associate editor-cum-Fukan editor at Lianhe Zaobao.
There will also be daily giveaways of six-in-one travel organiser sets, which can be redeemed at 11am and 3pm on a first-come, first-served basis. Each session will have 400 redemptions available.
The fair follows the inaugural SPH Media Travel Awards ceremony on April 6, which recognised top travel agencies for their service excellence and outstanding travel experiences.
Awards were given out in the following categories: The Straits Times Readers’ Choice Top Travel Agencies and Lianhe Zaobao Readers’ Choice Top Travel Agencies. There were 10 winners in each category, and the six tour agencies participating in the fair were winners across both categories.
In total, more than 2,900 votes were cast for both awards.
