SINGAPORE - With cheap, mouth-watering food, gorgeous beaches and fun-loving, ever-smiling locals, it is no wonder Thailand is among Singaporeans' favourite destinations to visit.

But it may not be practical to holiday there yet, given current travel restrictions, so I am as bummed as anyone that the beautiful Land of Smiles is so near, yet so far.
