At 75, Mr Peter Yeo Toon Joo is a medical marvel who has survived multiple illnesses and accidents over decades, including a lung disease that now makes breathing a struggle even when he is lying in bed.
His catalogue of trauma started with hepatitis that almost killed him at age 13. In adult life, he suffered two heart attacks, skin cancer, a tumour in the scrotum, bone marrow failure and bone cancer.
