SINGAPORE – The World Health Organisation’s (WHO) recent pronouncements on aspartame might make some people think twice before reaching for that diet soda.
On July 14, it said aspartame, a popular artificial sweetener, is “possibly carcinogenic to humans”. This classification means there is limited evidence that a substance can cause cancer.
