SINGAPORE - Not many fashion designers can say they have their pieces bought by a museum to be part of its permanent collection.

So, it was a pinch-me moment for Ms Nida Shay Tahir, when the Asian Civilisations Museum asked to purchase one of her dresses last month. The oxblood three-piece set will be part of Singapore's national heritage collection.
