Dyslexia, growth challenges did not stop Japan IPL Express founder from expanding empire

SINGAPORE – In Mr Jonathan Lim’s eyes, hair removal has no gender boundaries. And it should be as simple and readily available as a 10-minute haircut.

Those beliefs are what spurred him to start unisex salon chain Japan IPL Express almost a decade ago, when IPL (intense pulsed light) was still gaining traction as a costly method of hair removal.
