SINGAPORE – For persons with disabilities, sport and physical activities can boost confidence and offer a safe space.

Ms Florence Hui, 23, recalls being bullied in secondary school. “I would run to the toilet and cry,” says Ms Hui, who has a mild intellectual disability and attended a government-funded special education school.
