SINGAPORE – Mr Mark Tan, 26, finds it easier to work with his hands or with numbers, rather than writing or taking notes. In July, he took on a job sorting and packing medicines as a pharmacy healthcare assistant at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital.

Mr Tan was diagnosed with autism at age nine and found his job through the Employability & Employment Centre (E2C) at non-profit organisation Autism Resource Centre (Singapore).
