Over-screenification: Cars lose out on safety as more features lean deeper into tech

SINGAPORE – Everything today seems to be getting a digital makeover – fridges, vacuum cleaners, door locks and, unsurprisingly, cars.

But a test of a handful of new cars has given me the sense that when it comes to driving, not every feature translates safely to the screen.
