SINGAPORE - Since a plan to phase out pure combustion engines was announced at Budget 2020, electric car sales have been picking up speed.
From 100 units making up 0.2 per cent of all new car registrations in 2020, 636 electric cars were put on the road in the first quarter of this year to make up 8.1 per cent of new car registrations.
