The school run, the grocery stop, the weekend away. Family life runs on a tight schedule, and the car that carries it all needs to keep up.
The new Xpeng X9 Pro makes a direct case: an electric multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) that charges from 10 to 80 per cent in about 12 minutes using high-capacity charging points, seats seven in comfort and handles Singapore’s carparks without drama.
Design and cabin space
From the outside, the new Xpeng X9 Pro adopts a more streamlined look. The front end is more defined, while the rest of the car takes on a sleeker, more aerodynamic profile with smoother lines, an angled windscreen and a forward-leaning stance.
The Active Grille Shutter air intake system works quietly in the background, adjusting airflow to improve cooling and efficiency as the car moves.
Even with its generous dimensions – measuring 5,316mm by 1,988mm – the new Xpeng X9 Pro stays under 1.8m in height, which matters in Singapore, where fitting comfortably into most carparks is part of everyday use.
Power and range options
The new Xpeng X9 Pro is offered in Standard and Long Range variants, giving drivers flexibility based on their needs.
The Standard variant accelerates from 0 to 100kmh in 8.2 seconds and offers up to 535km of range on a full charge.
The Long Range version achieves the century sprint in the same time, but extends driving range to as much as 615km.
Inside, the cabin is designed to feel open and unhurried, with a seven-seat layout that prioritises comfort. Soft materials, ambient lighting and generous legroom give it a lounge-like quality.
“Zero gravity” seats in the new Xpeng X9 Pro help passengers relax into the journey, with a design that reduces pressure on the body.

In the first and second rows, nappa leather seats come with reclining “zero gravity” settings and massage functions.
Practicality remains central. The boot offers substantial capacity, expanding from 721 litres to as much as 2,554 litres when needed, accommodating everything from groceries and school bags to weekend luggage. Access to the third row is also simplified with a one-touch entry function – a small detail that makes a difference in daily use.
AI technology and driver assistance
The new Xpeng X9 Pro is powered by the brand’s new XP5 Turing AI chip, introduced here for the first time in the Asia-Pacific region.
The new computing platform, designed for autonomous driving and in-car systems, delivers up to 750 TOPS of processing power, a significant increase from before. TOPS (trillions of operations per second) measures how much data a system can process at once.
This translates into quicker responses from the smart cockpit and driver assistance features, supporting smoother daily driving through functions such as best-in-class auto-parking that takes the stress out of tight shopping centre carpark spaces.
The direction the MPV takes reflects a broader shift within the brand. Founded in 2014, Xpeng has evolved into a developer of AI-driven mobility systems, building its own driver assistance technology and in-car operating systems.

In Singapore, it is represented by Premium Automobiles, and its growing presence is marked by models such as the G6 coupe SUV and now the new X9 Pro.
Xpeng is also this year’s Platinum and Hole-In-One sponsor for The Straits Times/The Business Times Corporate Golf League 2026.
Charging speed, safety and daily usability
In daily driving, the benefits are easy to appreciate. A large 21.4-inch rear entertainment screen caters to passengers, while active rear-wheel steering and intelligent air suspension help something this size feel more manageable than expected, improving manoeuvrability while maintaining stability and ride comfort.
The new Xpeng X9 Pro stands out for its charging capability. Built on the brand’s next-generation 800V high-voltage SiC platform, it supports 5C ultra-fast charging and can go from 10 to 80 per cent in as little as 12 minutes when connected to high-capacity charging points.
Charging capability is also rated at up to 547kW, allowing the MPV to make a strong case as one of the fastest-charging passenger cars in Singapore.
Safety is integral to the design. The 7-seater is equipped with nine airbags, including a driver’s side remote airbag and side seat cushion airbags for the second row, extending protection across all three rows.
With features such as Isofix anchor points and multiple airbags, the new MPV is designed to keep children safe on every journey.

Practical details have also been thought through. Isofix child seat anchor points are fitted in both the second and third rows, allowing for secure and more convenient installation.
Taken together, the new Xpeng X9 Pro feels shaped around how families actually move through their day.
As Mr Dominic Tan, sales manager of Xpeng Singapore, puts it: “The Xpeng X9 reflects how we see mobility evolving – more intelligent, adaptive and attuned to the needs of modern drivers… combining flexibility, comfort and intuitive technology.”
Be among the first to experience the new Xpeng X9 Pro at the Xpeng Showroom Open House from May 16 to 17. More information available here.
