SINGAPORE – From as early as September, a new Chinese electric-car brand will arrive here.

Denza, a premium sub-brand 90 per cent owned by BYD and 10 per cent owned by Mercedes-Benz, will debut with the D9 multi-seater – a car aimed squarely at the popular Toyota Alphard.
