Little India is home to hundreds of businesses from eateries to goldsmiths. The Straits Times talks to the operators of two of the area's oldest enterprises.

In 1936, 16-year-old Murugiah Rajoo left his home town in Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu, India, to find work in Singapore.
