Mr Tan Ken Loon, founder of the wildly successful The Naked Finn restaurant, chose Portsdown Road in Wessex, a part of one-north research and development hub, for his second dining concept called Magic Square partly because it brought back fond childhood memories.

"I love Wessex," says the 46-year-old, who is married with one son.
