It’s Monday morning and the shirt you need for an important meeting has that unmistakable musty odour. Your child needs a clean uniform for school, and your partner’s delicate sweater requires special attention. In Singapore’s humid weather, even recently laundered clothes can quickly lose their freshness.
For busy families, laundry chores can seem like a never-ending cycle of sorting, washing, drying and folding that consumes precious hours each week. Each garment type demands different temperatures, times and detergent amounts for proper care.
These issues persist because most washing machines focus on basic cleaning without adapting to different fabric needs, soil levels or hygiene requirements. Busy families must remember various settings for different garments while planning adequate drying time.
Addressing these challenges, Panasonic’s new CARE+ Edition V Series washer dryer
The V Series washer uses AI technology to adapt to different fabrics and soil levels, while the dryer’s three-inverter motor system and nanoe™ X technology ensure efficient drying, while eliminating bacteria and odours.

With features like real-time artificial intelligence (AI) wash adjustments, auto detergent dosing and steam-powered odour removal, the Panasonic CARE+ Edition range makes laundry more hygienic and less of a chore
“We recognise that modern families want appliances that not only deliver exceptional performance but also focus on health and sustainability,” says Mr Phau Cheng Hwee, Director of Panasonic Singapore at the launch. “This V Series range of washer and dryer is set to change the way we think about laundry and hygiene.”
Intelligent technology for your family’s laundry needs
The V Series washer features AI wash technology that makes real-time adjustments based on fabric type, load weight and soil levels.
This means the machine can adapt to everything from school uniforms to soiled sportswear without requiring multiple specialised cycles or constant monitoring.
It is also equipped with Panasonic’s patented cyclone purification system which enables it to enhance cleaning through water circulation that penetrates deeper into fabrics. The system is able to separate six major impurities including iron fillings, limescale, skin flakes, dust and lint. This is especially important if someone in your family suffers from allergies or skin sensitivities, as it removes potential irritants along with dirt.
Combined with the Blue Ag+ technology that can remove up to 99.99 per cent of bacteria even in cold water as well as the specialised hygiene and allergy courses, the V Series washer is able to provide comprehensive protection against residue that can cause skin allergies.

To improve everyday convenience, the washer’s auto dosing system is particularly valuable for busy households, eliminating the common problem of detergent overdosing, which can irritate sensitive skin, or underdosing, which leaves clothes less than fully clean. By using sensors to detect the conditions of the drum and determining the right amount of detergent for each unique load, it ensures consistent results while saving on detergent costs.
Once your clothes are thoroughly cleaned, it’s time to get them dry. The V Series dryer runs on a three-inverter motor system that balances power consumption with efficiency. Its forward-reverse rotation time ratio reduces tangling and promotes even drying – meaning you spend less time sorting through twisted sheets and tangled clothing items. This feature is particularly helpful for time-pressed mornings when children need specific items ready for school.
The dryer also focuses on hygiene and freshness, with the nanoe™ X technology that is able to eliminate 99 per cent of bacteria while removing allergens to keep clothes clean. These nano-sized particles containing hydroxyl radicals are dispersed throughout the drum, not only sanitising but also deodorising garments. For added freshness, the V Series dryer includes a fragrance system that uses capsules in three different scents to keep clothes smelling fresh for longer after drying.
Refresh suits and outerwear without washing
For those looking to elevate their laundry care beyond basic washing and drying, Panasonic’s Smart Closet
This is especially helpful when managing busy schedules, as it can treat a PE uniform or work jacket in minutes without running a washer. For delicate fabrics and special-occasion items, it provides gentle care without water or detergent – helping clothes last longer while keeping them ready to wear.
The CARE+ Edition Smart Closet uses steam technology to refresh clothes between washes, removing odours and reducing wrinkles without conventional washing.

The closet’s hygiene and odour care function applies a large amount of steam to fully cover fabrics, which is able to remove more bacteria and allergens while effectively lifting away smoke, food and musty smells.
For clothes that need a quick refresh, the Smart Closet’s swing off wrinkles function uses powerful steam that penetrates deep into the fabrics. Upper and lower dual air ducts circulate air to agitate clothes like the wind, restoring elasticity while reducing wrinkles. The result is crisp, smooth garments without the need for ironing.
A particularly nifty feature is the Smart Closet’s heat pump technology that quickly dries wet outerwear and shoes that would otherwise become sources of mould and odours. This same technology uses a low temperature setting to gently care for delicate fabrics like cashmere, wool, silk and linen that cannot go into a conventional dryer.

The closet also comes with a dual aromatherapy feature with magnetic suction embedded fragrance capsules that add a pleasant aroma to freshly steamed clothes.
Together, these features make the Panasonic CARE+ Edition range a comprehensive solution for busy households. Parents juggling career responsibilities with family care will appreciate reclaiming hours previously spent on laundry supervision. The automated systems mean children can easily help with laundry duties without risking garment damage or detergent mishaps.
