Organising expert Marie Kondo - author of the 2014 bestseller The Life-Changing Magic Of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art Of Decluttering And Organizing - embodies a certain minimalist sensibility that is very Japanese.
But many fans may not realise the Tokyo-born Kondo no longer lives in her native country. The 36-year-old moved to California five years ago to launch a consulting business in the United States.
