LOS ANGELES - A third woman has accused Sex And The City star Chris Noth of sexual assault in the wake of similar allegations made by two other women last week.

The unnamed female tech executive, 30, told The Daily Beast news website on Thursday (Dec 16) that the alleged incident took place at a New York restaurant in 2010 when she was working there as a hostess and lounge singer.

The unnamed woman said she was 18 while Noth was 55 at that time.

Noth's publicist denied that the incident took place and said the actor did not know the woman.

The allegations came after two other women, who did not know each other, contacted American magazine The Hollywood Reporter separately and accused Noth, now 67, of sexual assault.

The alleged incidents took place in Los Angeles in 2004 and in New York in 2015. Noth denied the allegations and claimed the encounters with the women were "consensual".

Amidst the allegations, Noth, who has been married to actress Tara Wilson since 2012, has been dropped by A3 Artists Agency. He had signed with them less than three months ago, according to Deadline entertainment website.

Noth recently reprised his role as Mr Big, the husband of protagonist Carrie Bradshaw, played by actress Sarah Jessica Parker, in Sex And The City's (1998 to 2004) sequel And Just Like That...

His character was seen using a Peloton exercise bike in the first episode, and the exercise company then enlisted Noth to appear in an advertisement. However, it has removed the advertisement and related social media posts in the wake of the allegations.
