The 2024 Emmy Awards celebrated the best of Hollywood television and, once again, stars sashayed down the red carpet in their fanciest outfits.
The women dazzled in sophisticated black and chic metallics, while the men gave the classic penguin suit a modern spin.
Here are the 10 best looks at the 76th edition of American television’s biggest night, held at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on Sept 15 (Sept 16, Singapore time).
Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez's Ralph Lauren halter gown was embellished with more than 600 diamond-cut crystals in an Art Deco-reminiscent pave neckline that matched all of her Tiffany & Co bling.
The Only Murders In The Building (2021 to present) actress, nominated for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series, may have gone home empty-handed, but the 32-year-old killed it on the red carpet.
She was one of the early arrivals and immediately set the fashion bar high in a flattering black silk and velvet Ralph Lauren halter gown.
The sparkly neckline was reportedly hand-embellished with more than 600 diamond-cut crystals in an Art Deco-reminiscent pave neckline that matched her Tiffany & Co bling.
Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston wore a pearl column dress by Oscar de la Renta.
The 55-year-old red-carpet veteran loves her strapless gowns. Aniston told Vogue magazine her goal for the evening was to look “effortlessly polished”. “California sleek, if you will,” she added.
The actress, who was nominated for outstanding lead actress in a drama series for The Morning Show (2019 to present), was stunning in a nude, pearl-embellished column dress by Oscar de la Renta.
Anna Sawai
Anna Sawai said her red Vera Wang gown is the "dress of her dreams".
Not only did she make history as the first Japanese actress to win outstanding lead actress in a drama series for her performance in historical drama Shogun (2024), the 32-year-old also debuted in a big way as a bona fide fashion star in a custom red peplum-style gown from Vera Wang.
Calling it the “dress of her dreams”, the Cartier ambassador kept her accessories to a minimum, sporting only a pair of Cartier High Jewellery earrings and a Reflection de Cartier ring.
Reese Witherspoon
Reese Witherspoon exuded elegance in a strapless Dior gown with floral details.
Witherspoon brought vintage glamour in a classic strapless black Dior gown adorned with gold floral accents that cascaded to the bottom.
The 48-year-old – who was also nominated alongside Aniston for outstanding lead actress in a drama series for The Morning Show – kept her overall look feminine and classic, accessorising with Bucherer Fine Jewellery and keeping her hair in a bun.
Saoirse Ronan and Jack Lowden
Saoirse Ronan and Jack Lowden made their debut as a married couple in matching Louis Vuitton.
The newlyweds went red-carpet official at the Emmys. The couple, who exchanged vows in July, looked immaculate in matching Louis Vuitton outfits.
The rich midnight-blue palette of her two-piece dress complimented the 30-year-old actress’ fair skin. The only downside of the goddess look is the drape over her bandeau top.
Lowden, 34, who was nominated in the outstanding supporting actor in a drama series category for Slow Horses (2022 to present), was the perfect accessory on Ronan’s arm.
Dan Levy
Dan Levy rocked the red carpet in a sculptural pearl-coloured top and a black suit by Loewe.
The beloved acting duo of Dan and Eugene Levy – who were Emmy winners in 2020 for Schitt’s Creek (2015 to 2020) – made their debut as Emmy hosts.
While Eugene, 77, went with a classic suit, his son Dan gave the traditional tuxedo a new spin. He rocked the red carpet in a sculptural pearl-coloured top and a black suit by Loewe. The 41-year-old capped off his look with his signature thick-framed black glasses.
Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey
Jonathan Bailey (left) and Matt Bomer spiced up the red carpet in complementary outfits.
The Fellow Travelers (2023) co-stars – both nominated for outstanding supporting actor in a limited or anthology series or movie – spiced up the red carpet in complementary outfits.
Bomer, 46, looked sleek in a custom plum tux from Brioni, while Bailey, 36, went sexy in Giorgio Armani, featuring an unbuttoned silk shirt and wide-leg pants.
Meryl Streep
Meryl Streep looked pretty in pink at the 76th Emmy Awards.
The Hollywood icon looked like she was running for president in her blush pink tuxedo from Alexander McQueen. The monochromatic ensemble – featuring an oversized jacket with structured shoulders, a pink pussy bow blouse and wide-leg pants – spelt sophistication with a touch of spunk.
The 77-year-old Oscar winner – who was also an outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series nominee for Only Murders In The Building – completed her look with open-toe sandals, hoop earrings and pink-tinted glasses.
