SINGAPORE – Fans of the Netflix historical romance series Bridgerton (2020 to present) are in for a treat as songs from the hit show will be performed in Singapore.
Entertainment discovery platform Fever has partnered the streaming service and American television production company Shondaland to bring in Candlelight: Best Of Bridgerton On Strings.
Included in the set list are Bad Guy by American singer Billie Eilish, Thank U, Next by American pop star Ariana Grande and Cheap Thrills by Australian singer-songwriter Sia.
The hour-long concert at The Arts House invites attendees to dress up in their finest Bridgerton-inspired outfits. Fever has yet to confirm the string quartet that will be performing.
Details such as dates and prices have also not been announced, but a wait list for pre-sale tickets is live. The public sale is set for Nov 14 at 2pm.
The Bridgeton show – which is also slated for cities such as Los Angeles, London and Sydney – is the latest in the Candlelight series of instrumental performances. Musicians play amid hundreds of electric candles, with programmes ranging from the music of American singer Taylor Swift to film scores.
Based on the eight-book series (2000 to 2006) by American author Julia Quinn, Bridgerton follows the titular family from 1813 to 1827 in London as each of the eight children look for love. The Netflix adaptation quickly gained a fan base for its elaborate sets and costumes, as well as sex positivity and swoon-worthy dialogue.
The fourth season is set to be released in August 2026.
Candlelight: Best Of Bridgerton On Strings will be held at The Arts House, 1 Old Parliament Lane. Go to str.sg/tM4r for details.
