SINGAPORE – With a prominent wave of stand-up comedians, both local and international, holding performances in 2024, Singapore is ready for some serious tickling since the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the first half of the year alone, several big-name acts graced our shores. British-Irish writer-actor Jimmy Carr held court at The Star Theatre on Jan 16, South African comedian-host Trevor Noah performed four shows at the same venue from June 3 to 6, and American comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld put on a one-night performance – his first in the Republic – at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on June 14.
