SINGAPORE – When actor Joel Choo left broadcaster Mediacorp in 2021 to explore a different career path, many were surprised.
As the son of one of Singapore’s most prolific actors, it was assumed Choo would stick with the station and follow in the footsteps of 67-year-old veteran actor and long-time Mediacorp staple Zhu Houren.
