Hong Kong actress Janice Man dropped a bombshell on Sept 30 when she announced on social media that she had given birth to her first child.
The 36-year-old posted a photo of two small feet, writing: “And just like that, our family grew by two little feet.”
The actress, who starred in the hit Chinese mystery suspense film Lost In The Stars (2022), did not reveal the gender or name of her baby.
Man tied the knot with entrepreneur Carl Wu, who is in his early 40s, in 2019 after they dated for about five years. Known to keep a low profile, she managed to keep her pregnancy under wraps with no photos of her with a baby bump.
The actress’ last post on Instagram and Facebook was on Jan 2, when she looked back at her year in 2024 in a video.
She was more active on Chinese social media platform Weibo, uploading posts on her latest TV series Mobius (2025) and promoting the show. In one clip, she was seen from the chest up.
The Chinese time-travel mystery drama, which premiered on Sept 17, also stars Chinese actors Bai Jingting and Song Yang.
Man also took to Weibo on May 20, known as “Internet Valentine’s Day” or “520 Day” in China as 5-2-0 sounds somewhat similar to “I love you” in Mandarin. She was seen in the photos in loose-fitting clothing and there was no sign of a baby bump.
