Chinese TV director wants to make more S'pore stories, scout for local talent

SINGAPORE - An adaptation of The Little Nyonya was not media and entertainment veteran Guo Jingyu's initial plan when he decided to film a Singapore story for a China audience.

The chief executive officer of Singapore entertainment company G.H.Y Culture & Media and Chinese television director had bought the rights to adapt another iconic local drama, The Awakening (1984).
