SEOUL – Lisa of K-pop girl group Blackpink is adding another big role to her growing acting resume, according to an online entertainment news site.
The Thai singer-rapper will reportedly star in a new Netflix romantic comedy inspired by Notting Hill, the 1999 film featuring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.
Lisa, 28, will be reuniting with American executive producer David Bernad of The White Lotus (2021 to present). The award-winning HBO series was where Lisa began her acting career, starring in its third season, which aired in 2025.
The forthcoming drama was born out of the two’s shared interests in the classic romcom. She will be a co-executive producer, and Bernad one of the producers.
Lisa is also slated to appear in a Netflix movie, TYGO, a spin-off of action thriller Extraction (2020), alongside Don Lee and Lee Jin-uk.
Meanwhile, she will return as a member of Blackpink on Feb 27, when they release their third EP, Deadline. THE KOREA HERALD/ASIA NEWS NETWORK
