SINGAPORE – Lifestyle marketplace Artbox is set to return to Singapore in a big way in January 2025.

The event, termed Artbox Everyday, will feature vendors from Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong and Malaysia. It will be held at Singapore Expo Hall 4 from Jan 17 to 19 and 24 to 26.

There will be around 300 stalls. This includes more than 90 food and beverage stores and 196 retail outlets, which is 40 per cent more than Artbox’s last iteration in January and February 2024.

The event will attempt to recreate the community spirit of a heartland estate.

The core installation will feature stacked shipping containers designed to resemble flats, complete with a communal void deck. Visitors to the void deck can take part in various activities such as karaoke sessions and chess. There will also be a convenience store, which offers a selection of exclusive products from prominent local artists.

Children can be dropped off at an “enrichment centre”, where activities such as speech and drama classes and T-shirt doodling lessons will be offered.

For the first time, Artbox will feature Trade Day, a platform for business-to-business interactions, fostering collaborations between local businesses, entrepreneurs and industry leaders.

The Trade Day programme features keynote speakers such as media outfit SGAG’s co-founder Adrian Ang, also known by his online moniker Xiao Ming; and music site Bandwagon’s founder Clarence Chan.

There will also be the new Artbox Express, a mobile gallery bus service providing round-trip transport for an extra 50 cents for ticket holders from *Scape to Singapore Expo. The bus will feature creative takeovers by the art and design collective Phunk.

Attendees will even stand a chance to win the Dongfeng Box, an electric car worth more than $90,000, in partnership with Volt Auto.

The festival has also teamed up with alcohol brand Chang Beer to offer drinks such as cold brew lager, espresso beer and draft beer, and is working with The Arcade People to provide retro arcade machines for some gaming nostalgia.

Tickets to the event are available via Trip.com till Dec 23 at an early-bird price of $5 for Friday and $6 for the weekend. From Dec 24 to Jan 15, Friday entry is priced at $6, while weekend entry costs $7. From Jan 16, tickets are $7 for Friday entry and $8 for weekend entry.

Trade Day passes are $100 each, and grant access for the entirety of the festival.
