LOS ANGELES - Adapting a beloved novel for the screen means a ready-made fan base for a new television show or film.
But it also means inheriting a pool of tough critics, as the cast and creators of the Netflix movie Persuasion, which stars Dakota Johnson and Henry Golding and premieres on July 15, have found.
