Actor Keanu Reeves, known for his roles in the action-packed The Matrix and John Wick series, on Oct 5 made his professional debut on the race tracks, which saw him spinning off-track onto the grass and finishing in the 25th place out of 33 racers.

The 60-year-old was competing in the Toyota GR Cup at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway, reported AP News. It is a support series for the Indy 8 Hour sports car event that weekend.

A little over the halfway mark of the 45-minute race, Reeves was seen spinning into the grass but re-entered the track and continued driving. He avoided an accident and was not injured.

The movie star also successfully avoided a collision in the first lap, reported AP News. He made it as high as the 21st spot in the race.

Reeves was teamed up with Cody Jones, from sports and comedy group Dude Perfect.

In a race the next day, Reeves placed 24th out of the 33 drivers.

According to AP News, Reeves drove the No. 92 BRZRKR car, a reference to his BRZRKR comic book series which follows an immortal warrior known as Berzerker. The latest graphic novel in the series, known as The Book of Elsewhere, was released in July.

While this was his first professional race, he previously took part in and won a Long Beach Toyota Grand Prix celebrity race in 2009.

Reeves is expected to attend a 30th anniversary screening of Speed - a hit movie starring him and Sandra Bullock - on Oct 8 in Los Angeles. Bullock is also expected to be in attendance.
