The Kitchener Road mall is back after an extensive renovation, with all-new dining and retail concepts – including first-in-Singapore brands – and vibrant interactive common spaces in a refurbished interior.
Here are some of the exciting features to expect at the revamped mall – not to mention the 50-per-cent-off deals that run till June 29 (terms and conditions apply).
Fresh faces
As part of the refresh, City Square Mall welcomes new brands and concepts to its premises. Making their debut are three first-in-Singapore names such as The Fat Sparrow (#02-15), a charming all-day dining cafe that will be opening its doors soon. It serves hearty mains, as well as decadent pastries and cakes for that tea-time tete-a-tete or a family meal.
Cool down at Daydream Desserts (#02-15A), also opening soon. This cosy cafe offers sweet treats such as thick Shibuya toasts, fluffy souffle pancakes and refreshing shaved ice. Or turn up the heat with Xiao Jiao Tian Sichuan Cuisine (#04-37), a popular restaurant chain from Fuzhou, China that has now opened its first outlet at City Square Mall. Enjoy its contemporary Sichuan cuisine, featuring bold flavours with less oil and spice that even your younger ones can manage.
You can also pop by @ i Mango (#03-56) for its refreshing mango-based desserts and drinks, also with their inaugural outlet at City Square Mall. This juicy, tropical fruit is best enjoyed right now, as it is at its peak from April to September.
From comforting noodles and hotpot to decadent desserts, foodies will be spoilt for choice with the dining options at City Square Mall.

Other established brands have also launched fresh concepts at the mall. Haidilao has opened its first wallet-friendly spin-off, Hi Hot Pot (#B2-01), while Popular Bookstore has Popular Pals (#02-23) that offers educational resources such as storybooks and assessment books for school-going children.
Familiar names Tim Hortons (#01-30), Yi Zun Noodle (#03-21) and Baskin-Robbins (#02-55) have also made a home in City Square Mall.
Fun for the whole family
As they say, a family that plays together, stays together. At the revitalised City Square Mall, there are just so many activities that encourage this precious bond.
Engage your loved ones with Inmers (#05-04), which brings immersive digital activities to shoppers of all ages. The mall’s signature suspended play space, Airzone (#02-K4), has also reopened with an updated concept for more thrills and spills.
Education takes centrestage as well at Puzzletopia (#04-01) and Sciencetopia (#04-03), where shoppers can try their hand at unique brain teasers and logic games. Fashion fans on the other hand can pop into HLA (#01-32) to take their pick from the stylish yet affordable men’s collections and refresh their wardrobe.
Interactive community spaces
City Square Mall has also transformed some of the walls on Levels 2, 3 and 4 into Playwalls. These are based on three broad themes: Gateway to Good Times, Excitement at Every Turn, and Taking Dining to a New Level.
Spin the panels on the interactive Playwall to view nostalgic photos of the old New World Amusement Park, where City Square Mall now stands.

The interactive surfaces not only revive the nostalgia and history of New World Amusement Park, upon which City Square Mall now stands, but shoppers can also spin these installations to view “now and then” photos of New World Amusement Park.
Next, take the escalator one floor up to Level 5 to the Discovery Square, for a literal hands-on session at the massive sequin wall. Run your fingers along the thousands of shiny discs – the perfect canvas for your imagination – to create your own stunning backdrop for your next Insta-worthy shot.
