Legendary Polish pianist Krystian Zimerman is one name guaranteed to sell out the box office at the Esplanade Concert Hall, even on two evenings. A Beethoven piano concerto cycle planned for 2020 was shelved by the Covid-19 pandemic, but to witness him performing just one Beethoven concerto and conducting a symphony was good enough for most.
