Sunnystep chief executive Mao Ting says The Power Of Now by German author Eckhart Tolle is one of her favourite reads.

Who: Mao Ting, 35, is the chief executive of Sunnystep, a footwear brand she founded in 2019 after enduring a severe spine injury in 2018. Today, Sunnystep has 13 stores in Singapore, two in Malaysia and one in Indonesia. It will be opening another outlet in Indonesia by the end of February and plans to open more than 10 stores in Malaysia in the coming years.
“My injury was the most challenging experience I had to go through. I experienced severe symptoms, could not sit properly for a few years and consulted more than 20 doctors, physiotherapists and trainers.
It was during this time that I read The Power Of Now by German author Eckhart Tolle, after it was recommended by my friends.
