Who: Ms Chung May Khuen, 49, is director of the National Museum of Singapore. She took over the museum in 2019 just before the Covid-19 pandemic and is helming a new approach to curating it, with an emphasis on collecting contemporary artefacts and ensuring accessibility for visitors.

The museum’s permanent galleries are currently closed for major refurbishment, and the popular Story Of The Forest exhibition, created by teamLab, at its Glass Rotunda is closing on Oct 13. There will be a farewell celebration for this show, coinciding with the museum’s 137th birthday celebration in October. Go to str.sg/gmJx for more information.
