SINGAPORE - A homeless shelter, a foreign worker dormitory, a Buddhist temple and a kampung are among the places that Singapore residents call home, which will be the focus of a community event that kicks off early next month.

My Community Festival, which takes place from Aug 5 to 21, offers participants access to the private and communal spaces of different communities in Singapore.
