SINGAPORE – What started out as a fun night partying in Algarve, a coastal region in the south of Portugal, ended in an altercation for Singaporean product marketing manager Ellena Young and her Portuguese boyfriend, Mr Pedro Dinis. 

The couple had travelled to the southern European country on a two-week trip in August and visited a popular club, called Bliss Vilamoura, recommended by local friends.
