AS AN avid reader of newspapers (and The Straits Times in particular) I congratulate you on an excellent revamp. With the new layout, I find myself drawn to articles I would not normally read. I was hoping, however, that the new look would include a puzzle section - something I have asked Mr Fernandez for in the past - as for me, it completes the newspaper experience. ST must be the only daily in the world that has no puzzle section and I have to look forward to my trips to Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Hong Kong to enjoy a round of Sudoku at breakfast. This, along with the meager offering of comics, seems to say something about Singaporeans - that we have no time for fun - but I think the editors are greatly ill-advised. A great many of your readers are older and enjoy the papers at a leisurely pace, so it wouldn't harm to spare a few column inches for us, would it? In any case, it's a splendid reworking of a Singapore icon and I'll continue my support regardless.
