As our population is ageing at quite a rapid pace and most developers and owners of shopping malls and commercial buildings are maximising the plot ratio and utility of their properties, including carpark space, I suggest that all drivers turn on their vehicle headlights upon entering enclosed carparks, for better visibility.

This can help prevent accidents in dark areas or tight corners, as the lights offer additional notice of an approaching vehicle.

Owners and managers of private and public buildings should display signs to encourage drivers to turn on their vehicle headlights in carparks.
