The article "Video of learner driver punching an instructor goes viral" (ST Online; Nov 5) left me angry and shocked.
I wonder what the driving instructor did to receive a punch from a student, who did not look to have been unprovoked.
Is the student mentally unstable or were his actions due to other reasons which have to be investigated?
Even if the student was provoked, he should not have assaulted the instructor but made a complaint against him instead.
Singapore has been plagued by dangerous and irresponsible motorists who have caused many accidents.
The authorities must put a stop to motorists and students who are dangerous, irresponsible and violent.
I look forward to reading why the student punched the instructor.
I wish the instructor a speedy recovery from his injuries.
