Nominated MP Chia Yong Yong has called for a campaign to raise awareness on people with disabilities ("A clarion call to society"; April 5).

On a recent trip to Mexico City, I was very impressed to see airport security officers in wheelchairs checking the passports and boarding passes of passengers.

It was a strong message on inclusivity.

We can easily adopt this at Changi Airport, as well as other locations in the public and private sectors.
