When I was travelling on trains in Seoul, South Korea, recently, I noticed that at every station, there are emergency supplies of gas masks to protect commuters against smoke from fires or gas leaks.
However, we don't have any installation of such supplies at our MRT stations.
Are we too complacent in believing that fires and gas attacks can never happen in our stations?
Many of our underground MRT stations also serve as bomb shelters. It would make sense to have emergency gas masks at these places.
