Now that paper companies have been forced to come forward to declare or refute their involvement in contributing to the haze, Singapore should move towards getting producers to declare whether their products are endorsed and recognised as cruelty free and free of animal testing.

We should evolve as a society to be compassionate eaters and users, and stamp out inhumane practices that businesses make money from and that we, the end consumers, are ignorantly unaware of.

Does one know how eggs are produced, or what measures companies take to ensure their production?

It is necessary to educate the public so that they may make informed decisions on their purchases.
