I share Mr Yeow Hwee Ming's view that there is a lot of waiting time involved when residents want to see their MPs during Meet-the-People sessions (MPS) ("Set up online platform for MPs to 'meet' residents"; Dec 14).
First, residents have to get a queue number. After that, residents have to wait almost two hours before they are called for registration. After that, it is another two hours before residents can meet the MPs.
I suggest that registration be done online and that residents will have to indicate the purpose of their wanting to see their MP in their registration forms.
Residents can, thus, book a time slot to see their MPs. This can save everyone a lot of waiting time.
However, the first two hours of the MPS can be reserved for walk-in registration.
